Satan cannot have your soul, but he will do everything in his power to silence your witness and spoil your home—starting with the dad who stands in the gap. When the power of God shows up, the enemy rises up, sends reinforcements, and attacks the flesh because he cannot reach the spirit. But the believer in Christ never has to make peace under defeat. The same Lord who dispatched one angel to spring His servants from a public jail still outclasses every opposition—not by a little, but by a lot—so we stand in gratitude rather than jealousy, in righteousness rather than sin, and in the power of the Holy Spirit rather than the strength of the flesh, until the victory Jesus already secured shows up in our lives.
