The Son of God appeared for one unmistakable purpose: to destroy the works of the devil. Hallelujah—the gospel packed into a single clause. While the devil works to mislead, alienate, wound, abuse, warp, and ultimately condemn, Christ has come to undo every destructive work, to reconcile us to God and to one another, to save the lost, and to give us life and peace.
