If you know you’ve heard Him speak to you, you can’t just walk away. There’s only one of Him, and there’s nowhere else to go. When people stop attending church, stop serving, or stop believing, Jesus’ words still hold: the one who endures to the end will be saved. Enduring doesn’t earn salvation. It’s the natural evidence that saving faith is real and sustained by the Holy Spirit. When the crowds turned away and Jesus asked His disciples whether they would leave too, Peter answered, “Lord, to whom will we go?” If God has called, converted, and consecrated you, you can’t walk away from salvation, sanctification, service, or the suffering that comes with it. You keep going because He first loved you and because you long to see His face and hear, “Well done, good and faithful servant.”
