Just as excellent barbecue requires patience and careful preparation, controlling anger demands restraint and deliberate thought. A quick temper produces foolishness and unnecessary harm, while a patient spirit demonstrates wisdom and understanding. Although righteous anger has its place, believers must refuse uncontrolled emotional outbursts. By responding according to their identity in Christ rather than the behavior of others, Christians can preserve peace, strengthen relationships, and honor God.
